concept

After learning how to get that dreamy effect for cheap on your lens (a little forehead grease), I really wanted to create my version of a magazine cover shoot. A solid color outfit, strong and dramatic posing, blurred edges and haze all around. Jazmany decided on an all white flowy fit that shined beautifully in the summer sun. We went into my backyard where I built a small set with some billowy satin fabrics and set up a chair. The story became a dazzling angel alighting in your backyard for a quick fashion shoot. I put a lot of distance between me and Jazmany for most shots to capture the full length of his limbs and make him appear larger than life. I aimed for ethereal, magical, heavenly, and an overall cool mood.
