concept

I have always wanted to shoot inside a laundry mat. I grew up during a time when they still played the newest music videos on tv and I loved seeing 90s hip hop inside a laundry mat, especially with the fish eye lens. I unfortunately didn’t have a fish eye lens but I did have a local laundry mat that I thought could still channel those 90s y2k hip hop vibes perfectly. I had Jessi come in denim and solid color top as I wanted it to be a really simple and strong look. The laundry mat was really small so we explored different angles both in, on top of, and in front of the machines. Luckily the evening glow made it to the back of the mat so we were able to get some crisp shots with the soft natural lighting.
