My best friend gifted me a new 24mm lens so I called up my friend and go to model Katy to test it out. I wasn’t familiar with the features as I’d only worked with 18-24mm and 70-300mm before then. I’d also recently bought a new back drop that reminded me heavily of school picture day back drops so we went with that theme, bringing a chair into the room to pose in. I experimented with distance to see how the lens captured that and found it was excellent for close up shots, making them extremely detailed and slightly rounded. I also used a reflector to put highlights on Katy’s face but the natural light we were working with lit her up beautifully.
