This shoot was my first venture into fashion photography as well as my first time shooting with more than one model at a time. I asked the models to come in light preppy fashion with a chocolate color theme. We chose my neighborhood park because I had the vision of shooting on the basketball court during sunset. Unfortunately, being in mid June meant that everyone else in the neighborhood was at the park too, and we had a very short time to use the court after asking some players to let us use it. So we instead used other areas of the park like the fences and greenery. I wanted to focus on the clothing and bring forth an editorial look in the models, asking for moody expressions and relaxed but cool posing. I also made their posing either symmetrical or asymmetrical as I asked them to play off each other. This was easy in some cases and harder in others with their difference in height and silhouette. When that happened I leaned into their contrast and brought an outside prop in to still tie them together.
