concept

Maiqi was turning 20 and wanted a celebratory birthday photo shoot that was still a little bit non traditional. Rather than inside with friends she wanted a solo shoot to focus on her as she entered a spectacular new era. The key points she wanted captured were her dress and her detailed make up look. We chose the gazebo in Boston Commons to add a little romance to the atmosphere but I used flash when shooting for crisp, birthday baddie vibes. She had long ribbons flowing from her ponytail so we focused on capturing movement with those and kept the remainder of the body still and poised. The look we wanted was social media ready photos but of high quality.
