concept

My mother moved to London shortly after I went to college to pursue her dreams of becoming a chef. That meant I got to spend my holidays in London with her. During my first summer there I spent most of my time exploring Soho, Brick Lane and the surrounding gardens in east London. It was during this time I met Satsita, a university film student with a passion for make up and painting. As a fellow artist our energies clicked instantly and after seeing her unique color blocked make up looks I just knew I had to photograph one of them. We chose Brick Lane and she toured me around to nearby parks and hide away streets as we laughed and talked about our different lives in America and London. Rather than a specific theme or concept we just decided to leisurely explore and use our environment as inspiration and shoot where ever called out to our creative spirit.
